– Your sleep schedule has been nothing short of erratic lately, with fall soon approaching, and your entrance exam with it. You’re studying as if you’re waiting to be denied, when really it’s more of a placement exam to assess what grade you’ll be in. So you’ve taken to forfeiting a few hours of sleep fairly often, despite being worse off for doing so. It’s completely backwards, but you figure if you’re awake at two am anyway, you may as well try doing laundry too.
You walk downstairs to get started, not bothering to turn on the lights before you arrive at the washer and dryer. You don’t want to wake up Gumi, or Flannel. However, fate has other plans in store for the peacefulness of the house. No sooner than you pick up the bottle of detergent and move to turn on the light, you notice a shadowy figure descending from the window.
Your eyes widen. You don’t hesitate for a moment. You weaponize the detergent immediately, throwing it directly at the intruder to stun them. You only lower your fists as you realize you know the shape of the intruder. A braid.
“Ayame?” you’re actually going to kill him. You’re going to kill him with a bottle of tide, then skin him to make a whimsical little snakeskin boot. Your whisper is dripping with poison.
“I can’t believe you- why are you sneaking into my house?! Other people who aren’t used to this kind of thing live here, you know!”
You almost continue to whisper-shout at him, but then you realize something. The fourth bedroom has always been occupied. But you’ve never once met its occupant. Not even once. Your eyes widen.
“...” You pause. “Tell me the truth.”
