So grumpbeard is a play on Blackbeard,so by all accounts they would probably have black fur.

And the snakolytes are made of the "followers and descendants of grumpbeards crew"

Which means there's a non-zero chance that Alegander is in fact a direct descendant of Grumpbeard themself.

AND STILL STARTED OUT AS AN UNPAID INTERN.
