''You dare use my own spells against me, Potter? Yes. I'm the Half Blood Prince.''
The Test | Snape & Mulciber
If there was one thing that bothered Nicholas Mulciber more than mudbloods and blood traitors, it was wishy washy, unreliable people. Severus Snape was such a person and Mulciber was nearly ashamed that the mudblood loving slimeball came from his own house. Of course, he denied any association with the filth in the school now. He claimed to be done, to have seen the error of his ways. But could he really be trusted? Snape hardly seemed reliable. He needed to be tested.
Mulciber took his time, waiting for a perfect opportunity to see what his fellow Slytherin was worth once and for all. After a month of lying low and trying to remain undetected by any of the teachers, avoiding as much mischief as he could for himself, Mulciber's desire for entertainment was screaming for attention. In an attempt to satisfy his need, he took a trip to the library one afternoon and searched for a suitable victim. Settling on a young Hufflepuff in the Transfiguration section, Mulciber twirled his wand in his fingers, trying to decide on the most effective spell that would get him in the least amount of trouble. As he debated, his eyes caught on a much more entertaining prospect. Sitting alone at table piled high with Potions texts was none other than Snape. With a wicked grin, he pounced on the boy.
"Snape," he barked, clapping the boy on his narrow shoulders. "It's time. I've got a favor to ask."
