Exclusive Interview: Rupert Grint & Phoebe Dynevor talk Snatch TV Show (Sept 29, 2017)
Rupert Grint has swapped Hogwarts for the criminal underworld after starring in the television remake / spin-off of Guy Ritchie’s year 2000 classic ‘Snatch’ which starred Jason Statham alongside Brad Pitt and Vinny Jones. The new TV series is loosely based on the original, but this time writer Alex de Rakoff (The Calcium Kid) decides to introduce new, younger characters who aren’t so worldly and are a bit clueless. They accidentally stumble across and steal the gold from an older, and much more intimidating gang and mayhem and cockney slang ensues. The cast boasts an impressive list of well known names such as Luke Pasqualino, Dougray Scott and Rupert Grint. We were lucky enough to sit down and talk to two stars of the show Phoebe Dynevor and for Harry Potter star Rupert Grint who plays an aristocratic gangster. Rupert and Phoebe share their thoughts on what drew them to this genre, where they would like the plot to go in series 2 and Rupert talks about the animal he wants most in the next series! (x)

Rupert Grint - one of the world’s most recognizable twenty-some-things - already had a relationship with Sony, thanks to his eight runs as Ron Weasley in the Harry Potter films. But he’d never done television. De Rakoff went to meet him in London. He recalls:
“We sat down and had a chat. Having met him, I based one of our lead characters (Charlie) around certain qualities that I saw in him: this guy who’s really funny, smart, very modest - and super talented.”
