tbh as an editor, if your biggest problem is that (which is confusing and contradictory!! (effect change, anyone?)) then you're good. glaring structural errors are far more worrying. you're ok!!!!

I MEAN. I def have glaring structural errors, but I basically sent her two versions of a proposal draft with the note of ‘oh god I feel super lost and I am struggling a lot I am having problems orienting myself in my own thoughts’ which, is not always a good thing to send but. At least she knows that I KNOW that this is a giant mess and I Need Help. 

The affect/effect thing is just uhhhh, particularly embarrassing because I am working with sensations and Taste Aesthetics so it’s like. Integral to the thing but still like. I am essentially alone in trying to write this having not been in a class in almost 7 years but idk.

There are kind of a lot, I’ve been playlisting regularly since 2012 (although most of the older ones are specific to like, fandom things or little weird original projects rather than moods. The season ones are just where I dump in every song I come across that I like during that season).

basically, while I don't know exactly what you're facing, these sound like really normal and ok problems to be worrying about in a draft!! That's what the editing process is for, both by you and an adviser. Get the ideas on the page, etc., and then worry about it being perfect. You're doing really good work!!!! I've seen your posts about getting back into this system and it's HUGE that you're this far.

This is incredible helpful and you are a true gem!!

I know it’s unrealistic to a huge degree to expect that I hand over anything even close do like, decent, at this point, it’s just, ugh! But, my advisor is very kind and brilliant so, I think it’ll be okay!

The versions I send her also have my own comments to myself in it (even ones that are like ‘omg what are you talking about’) which I think, while informal, is helpful because I want her to SEE that I know where I’m weak. 

It just always seems so easy for a lot of people! It’s like the FOMO feeling but in academics!

2. have you ever found a writer who thinks just like you? if so, who? nooot really idt. i connected v strongly with ned vizzini when i was younger but we know how that turned out so i am fingers crossed we dont think the same way now. my fave books dont really have much to do with me except a lot of them are gay and im gay. thats about it tho

4. do you like your name?  is there another name you think would fit you better? i can’t picture myself with a different name and i like both jenna and jennica okay but i kind of have never felt very connected to them. i have a weird relationship with jennica because im not used to it anymore but when family/ppl who have known me a long time use jenna im like ehh no dont do that its weird, but then when they call me jennica its the same. so its kind of like neither of them really fit me as well as i’d hope but i dont know what would be better so. kanye shrug. name jenna contest, now taking submissions.

25. could you live as a hermit? not really i kind of need social interaction to stay happy, i think of myself as a p introverted person but that typically manifests itself by like, my needing space to recharge. i definitely notice a negative difference in myself when i dont get enough in-person interaction.

My Gap jeans went faster than my old navy jeans this time!!! And I'm sad about it because I wasn't expecting it :(

It may just be that I’m not wearing jeans as often because my new job only has occasional dress down days and not a weekly casual Friday. I used to go through several pairs of Old Navy jeans a year and these are definitely holding up better.
