Hi! <3
5. Describe one of the best days of your life. When I was in Tintern Abbey in Wales during my study abroad trip. I was studying abroad in a country that I’d been wanting to visit for over a decade and was on my bucket list. The program was fantastic, with a wonderful professor leading, fun fellow students, and great courses that incorporated really cool visits to places. We’d just visited Chepstow Castle, which was super cool, and now we were in Tintern Abbey, where I could touch the stones of a place almost a thousand years old. It felt like this wonderful blend of human-made beautiful architecture and nature reclaiming it as its own. I laid on the grass which had those lovely little daisies scattered about, staring up at the sky, while lying in the middle of this huge beautiful building that had seen so many years of history. It felt wonderfully relaxing and powerful, like absolutely everything was right with the world at that moment.
9. What’s one of your fondest childhood memories? Hmm, tricky! I remember a lot of my childhood fondly but vaguely. Our summer roadtrips were always fun, though. Getting to visit various zoos and Disneyland and other cool places. I especially remember getting to visit the West Coast Game Park Safari in Bandon, Oregon, and getting to hold a possum and ferrets and other little animals and it being the best thing ever.
14. Name the first ten things that make you happy right now. Don’t even think too hard about it just write whatever comes to mind first. Oh, gosh, well it says to just write what comes to mind first, so..My boyfriend, that I’m hanging out with my boyfriend, that he just got accepted into college, that he’s happy and excited and going to come visit later, the river, rainbows, trees, my friends, knitting, walking/hiking/being in nature.
18. Tell us about a moment where you felt absolutely free and alive. So other than the Tintern Abbey moment.. A few months ago I decided to go on a nature walk by myself on a Saturday morning with my camera. I just wandered around and let myself really enjoy anything I saw or heard; the pretty flowers, the trees, the surprisingly cooperative weather, a spider in its web, the excitement of small children, the birds, being able to set aside this time to just walk places, knowing that I’d later come home and get to talk to my friend about it, being excited that my pictures would probably come out well.. It was a wonderful day, and I just felt very free and full of enjoyment of nature and life.
26. Has anyone ever given you a compliment that was so meaningful to you and you will never forget? What was it? Pretty much any compliment is meaningful to me and I appreciate it. There was one time, though, that a classmate commented that I always wear clothing that she wishes she were brave enough to wear. So it was like a double compliment, both saying that she thought my fashion choices were cool, and acknowledging that they kind of go against the grain but that it’s cool that I’m brave enough to do it and that I pull it off well. That felt pretty awesome, and I haven’t forgotten it.
33. You get 1 million dollars. You are not allowed to save it or invest it, but instead are only allowed to use it to treat yourself. How do you spend it? Right at this moment? First, a ticket to go to San Diego ASAP and a ticket for him from there shortly after that. After that, I hope it’ll at least let me save it until the summer, because I have to finish school! But I’d go travel, and probably bring some people with me. England, Wales, Scotland, Greece, Italy, Australia, New Zealand, Hawaii..I don’t know how much I’d have left after that. But I’d want to have a good time and I’d want my loved ones to have a good time.
35. Describe your dream wedding (or if you aren’t into that describe a dream vacation. Or do both who cares!)My dream wedding isn’t fully formed in my mind since I definitely want it to be a cooperative vision with whomever I’m marrying. But some things I often picture are it being outside, surrounded by flowers and trees. My wedding dress is beautiful and makes me feel beautiful. My hair is long and down and has flowers in it. It’s not a strict, super formal affair. Everyone is happy. This is a celebration of two people loving eachother more than a relationship- or life-changing event. So there’s not a ton of pressure; people are relaxed and the happy and love in the air is palpable. My partner is overjoyed and neither of us can stop smiling. The food afterwards is delicious. People hang out and have a good time. There’s a place inside in case it gets cold or something, but there’s also an outside place for air and enjoyment of nature. Lots of pictures get taken, and probably a good number end up in a scrap book. We go home afterwards and get to relax together. Everything is happy.
