That's her platonic soulmate to me. They love each other in such a way. While yes the other's impacted her life, I believe her relationship with Vic was just entirely something else. I mean even in blackest night they have Renee having to still work through and process the grief and having to allow herself to let him go because the loss of him was so significant.
