Snek! Jay headcanons
Oooh Snek!Jay...a sweet snek...
- He’s a cuddly snek. If they all sit down to watch a movie, he always winds up squished between two people and his tail curled around random limbs. Poor Kai had his circulation cut off to his left hand when they watched a scary movie.
- There is always someone on Jay Duty during cold snaps or cold weather missions. He doesn’t conk out quite as quickly as an actual snake, but he does noticeably slow down and start stumbling if he gets too cold. One time he actually fell asleep into a snow drift, and when they pulled him out his heartbeat had slowed tremendously.
- On the other hand, he is a total off-the-wall ball of energy during the summer months and heat waves. He’s always happy, always ready to go - he tends to volunteer for night watch a lot during those times.
- One winter there was a power outage onboard due to some internal damage. Jay was bundled up in twice as many blankets and practically shoved into Kai and Cole to keep him warm and conscious while Nya and Zane worked to restore power.
- He likes to mess with the ninja by sneaking up behind them and hissing. Everyone was super unnerved by it at first, but now it’s almost a game. Poor Jay did get judo flipped by Nya the first time it happened though.
