“Is Jay okay?” Skylor pointed at the Snek Man slithering around on the floor.
Except, it wasn’t slithering. More like... he was attempting The Worm. And miserably failing.
“Yeah, he’s fine,” sighed Nya as she sipped her coffee. “Taking care of a half human-half snake person is a lot harder than you’d think. But honestly, he’s fine.”
Jay writhed on the floor and “Careful, Jay! That’s a wa-” slam! “Oopssss.”
He continued to slither in another direction.
Skylor gasped. “IS HE OKAY?!”
Nya sighed again. “He’s fine. He needs glasses or something but he refuses to wear them and he scares the optometrist.” “Uhhh, okay...”
“I’m fine! But I’m kinda hungry.” Nya groaned. “Watch this,” she told Skylor. “Slither on into the kitchen and we’ll get you something to eat!” she called.
After several more “slam”s, “ow”s, and light thumps on the floor, Jay made it into the kitchen. Nya opened the fridge.
“Sssssome fresssh micccce would be great!” he said perkily.
“I’m afraid I’m running low on fresh mice. I’ll have Zane order some more. How about some chicken?”
Nya placed the rotisserie chicken on the counter and went to grab a knife. Jay, on the other hand, attempted to try and swallow the chicken whole. Skylor stopped him in horror.
Nya brushed her off and began to reprimand Jay. “Listen, babe, I know your snake instincts try and take over but the rest of us are gonna eat that too.”
“Sssssorry.” “That’s okay.” Nya carved off a piece and handed it to the hungry snek, who promptly tried to swallow that one whole.
