Snespurven, som egentlig er en værling, yngler højt mod nord; men i vinterhalvåret trække den til nordlige tempererede zone, som det sydlige Skandinavien og Danmark. Arten træffes derfor fortrinsvist om vinteren, og den holder gerne til på strande og strandenge; men kan også træffes inde i landet.
Snespurven er normalt flokfugl, men denne fugl var den eneste, som blev set på lokaliteten hele dagen.

The Snow Bunting breeds in the Arctic region but overwinter in nortern temperate zones like southern Scandinavia and Denmark. Thus, the snow Bunting is primarily found here during winter. It prefers open habitats on the coast but may also occasionally be found inland.
You narmally se Snow Buntings in flocks. But this bird was the only one to be found at that particular location all day.
