I don’t think she could ever kill merlot, even as a siren. I think a part of her would let him go and then watch from afar and make sure he’s always safe. I know that lo is normally saving her but sometimes he needs saving too <3

I've been meaning to reply to this XD Honestly if this were real, I don't see it happening either, but there is also the possibility that after this she was so overcome with guilt that she kept him with her, trying to figure out a way to bring him back. Some old magical spell or a deal with a sea witch to trade for his life.
