Original version (I was gonna do Charmed but now I’m in the Programmed mood so we’re doing that instead I guess):

Everyone is encouraged to get rid of the programs before it can happen to them and a mass deletion is carried out, but upon discovering this, many of the Companions manage to escape out into the Internet and are now on the run.

Translated version:

New program programs are slower in some unauthorized duplication, modification, or shutdown. Everyone says that this program is in operation until this program is in operation, but many families run off and work.

PSA

If there really does come a game focused on Gaster, I can promise that while I will incorporate as many canon elements into my gaster as possible, I will not severely change the lore I have come up with for him.

This is for a couple reasons.

1) I already figure my version of Gaster is faaaaar from canon. I accept that, I'm okay with that, and I wouldn't expect anything different.

2) I've got a lot of lore/headcanons about him and the world of Undertale and a huge thread going on that I'm going to make official to my Gaster (thank you @two-halves-of-a-soul for the encouragement on doing so), and I don't want to just throw all that away. It's 2+ years of work.

So while the possibility of having a lot of new info about Gaster makes me super excited, I'm not going to change much of his story here on tumblr. Just . . . consider him turning into an AU version.

Chara tearing out Kris's soul until you came in and kicked Chara out and Kris is just sick and tired of being possessed so from what they learned from Chara they tear out your soul and go to wreck carnage on all the other ghosts and metaphysical beings out there cuz they're just so done with it all.
