while i hc donnie as mostly nonverbal, esteban talks A Lot. he gets very excited easily and rambles on about his interests. when they hang out donnie’s more than happy to just listen while esteban speaks
donnie prefers to do everything with his hands like he’d rather fingerpaint than use a paintbrush or hold his food rather than use utensils
no matter how many time esteban starts a “normal” sleeping schedule, he’ll end up with a mostly nocturnal one, much to cecil and carlos’s inconvenience.
esteban actually does sleep a lot less than the average kid his age or. any person. kids right?
kevin and donnie have matching big yellow hats they wear to church events and on shopping trips
esteban knows a lot of space facts (”facts”) that he tells donnie and donnie has “fun” sun “facts” to add to them

although they both love giraffes, esteban does not like donovan’s planes (i mean. understandably)
they get along well with each other’s parents, though cecil is a bit freaked out by donnie sometimes
they did make each other friendship bracelets in ways that are very much like their towns
the one donnie gave esteban is teeth and gold beads looped onto thin woven leather strings
the one esteban gave donnie is glowing, colour-changing stones on electrical cord
