Cool speculation for the 100th, Defect is an error. Considering his old name is in hex which commonly used in error messages. Sm64.z64's Mario was also potrayed as an error. Also like to think his ability is based off how MAC addresses work, basically detects the user's device and manufacturer [I'm probably spouting shit because it's 11PM and I'm slowly hearing voices. Also uhhh totally from my peak Compsci knowledge I SUCK AT]
