okay first of all, if it takes muriel a while to warm up to one child, definitely don’t bring up having six kids all at once
that being said, i think he could definitely get on board with the idea after having one.
he is the most patient parent ever — never ever yells at the kids. if he gets angry he will just take a long Dad Walk tm
that doesn’t mean he spoils them, and he will have no problem saying no no matter how cute they are
the main problem you face together is that, well, his hut is hardly built for two people, and three is a squeeze, but eight? yeah, no way
so… he builds a new house.
it is closer to the city, and though you begged him to just buy one instead he insisted on making it, the same way he made his hut
(he lets asra help more, though he refuses to let you on your feet even if all you did was use your magic)
when he finally lets you inside, though, you can see how different it is
there are windows to let the light in, a much higher ceiling so he can actually comfortably stand, even small furrows in the wall that will serve as benches or beds
immediately and completely, it’s home
he loves teaching the children anything, and i mean anything
overall, he just… really, really appreciates that they give him the opportunity to leave a much more positive mark on the world than he ever would have thought possible
