no problem c: i rly hate how tumblr attacks someone with death threats when they have a bad opinion (esp in this case, OP was framed and didn’t deserve any of the hate).
death threats are the pettiest and most hypocritical way to react to this sort of thing since more often than not, in the causes we’re fighting for the victims also get death threats from the oppressors (e.g., gamergate). i’ve seen so many posts like that where the OP deleted their blog and/or it was taken over by someone who uses it as venting space for the same ppl offended by the original post.
i believe that yes, you can fight hate with hate, but you shouldn’t fight with the same kind of unthinking, uncritical hate that you experience. the goal is to make other people understand, not to scare them into submission.
(i hope u don’t mind that i post this publicly. i just want other ppl on here to realize what’s wrong with how tumblr deals with hate. i actually don’t like it when ppl call tumblr a hivemind, but to some extent it is kind of true.)
