me when i make a character that ventures out from home so she can dress how she wants and express herself and use the name and pronouns she wants and has to drop all of it and go back to what she was assigned when she's at home. and her Creativity die goes from a d20 to a d4 and her Alertness die goes from a d4 to a d20 as a survival mechanism. and she has a subplot about helping a friend adopt the confidence to make the same changes she does when she's away from home. and they have a joke about how that friend picked a bad name and is a "baby [noun]".

and then i make the character a man in drag

how would you feel if your friend comes up to you wearing a hat (baseball cap) that says "i will die in the next arc" that they cannot see. what would you tell them?

i would have a series of very distressing and existential thoughts that would likely lead to a mental break about the concept of my life and/or the world having "arcs" and some sort of omnipotent "Author" figure
