Do you have the anime screenshot of when Erwin passes levi the serum, and their fingers touch? I've been trying to find it for ages

Sorry Anon, I've got a million manga panels saved on my laptop, but not many anime caps. So I can give you the manga panel from chapter 83 and this art that appeared in Animedia Magazine (I think?) but I'm afraid I haven't got the anime cap.

I find it interesting how Armin was always placed on the right and Erwin on the left when the panels were emphasizing the choice that had to be made between them during Serumbowl. Cause usually the right side is associated with “good” and the left with “evil”. But I guess in this case, it was more so contrasting the pacifist vs. sacrificial approach that Armin and Erwin had respectively.

So yeah, if you think about it, this was alluding to the SC’s fate. Serumbowl pretty much built the stage for what’s going on right now in Paradis (another example being Floch’s speech about the devil) and I find that pretty amazing.

There's this thing i'm curious about, why do you think in that scene, Levi is shocking because of Mikasa's face, not because of the fact that she's going to attack him? anw love your artstyle X3

Hi anon! thank you for liking my art! Ok so call me bias, but I’m 100% sure in that moment, Levi is shocked about Mikasa’s expression, not because of what she’s gonna do to him. Here, let’s me explain :

This is the correct order of all the panels in this page. The meaning of each panel will follow the order :

1: Levi looks at his back/ turn his head. He sees that Mikasa is approaching him from behind.

2: His eyes are focusing on Mikasa’s face. She’s crying.

3: Levi’s eyes are opening wider. He’s shocked/ surprised because of her expression. He realized that she’s crying.

But if i change the panel number 2 with the different image, for example, the image of a sword, the meaning of all the panels will be changed. Just take a look:

The meaning of each panel will be :

1: Levi looks at his back/ turn his head. He sees that Mikasa is approaching him from behind.

2: His eyes are focusing on her hand. She’s holding a sword.

3: Levi’s eyes are opening wider. He realized that she is going to attack him with that sword.

You see the differences ? So the most important evidence for my explanation is panel number 2. In panel 2, Isayama drew Mikasa’s face instead of her sword, which mean Levi is looking at her face, even though she’s holding the sword. That’s explained why Levi has that expression (shocked, surprised) in the third panel. But if I replace panel 2 with the image of Mikasa’s sword, the meaning will be changed like what i mentioned above, and it will go the way you asked me “ what if that expression of him is just because he knows mikasa is going to attack him? “. So yeah, i think the evidences for this question are pretty obvious, if you focus on the way Isayama draws and the order of the panels. I know it’s a small detail to analyze and not many people pay attention on it, but it’s obvious.

I never noticed before but Mikasa actually cried when she saw Armin after he got shishkebabed by Bertolt and thought he died.

You know that part at the end of the Battle of Shiganshina when Zeke tells Reiner he's incredibly lucky? That's probably the most valid statement regarding snk lmao.
