Fun fact about that SNL video I just posted. Simon Cowell was asked to host that very episode but he turned them down. Janet Jackson ended up hosting. But Simon was very much open to doing a cameo which, of course, ended up being that sketch.

I love that SNL always finds a way reuse certain stuff in sketches. Above is the “Caracci’s Pizza” sketch from the Season 18 episode hosted by Tim Robbins (same ep where Sinead O’Connor ripped up a photo of the Pope). Below is from the Season 29 episode hosted by Ben Affleck, they used that logo on Horatio’s apron as he was a pizza guy in the “Donnie G. and Sidecar” sketch.
