there's something really satisfying, in a meta way, about shipping a couple that was never ever meant to be together in canon. like, taking a character that wasn't even created to love or be loved and saying, nah, fuck that. breaking the mold of what makes an "acceptable" love interest. it feels really fuckin good in a world where you can tell who's going to fall in love with who just by looking at the movie poster.
