Introducing my Snootlings to my Wyrm went quite well more or less
Next in line: Saplings!
I hope Dipsy will make some more friends with them ( •̯́ ^ •̯̀)
All wyrm adopted from @mother0fwyrms :3
Friends!
Today there was a table sale at my local Aquarium society. I came home with a baggy of live black worms and 5 pygmy Corydoras. So TINY. They’re going to quarantine with the three baby Betta Rubra in the small tank until I’m sure they’re healthy, but since they’re been bred by club members I’m not really worried.
Here a little Rubra checks out his new friends.
I set the net down beside the tank and two Rubra and a Cory went to investigate it together. The Betta bubs are so curious and interactive. How can you not love them?
Shiny new friends settling in well! It’s quite hard to catch them with the phone as they’re always wiggling. But I’m so happy! This tank was getting overfed anyway with live worms and baby food (because it’s impossible to feed just enough for 3 baby Bettas) so they’re having the time of their lives snootling through the sand.
Dared someone on the server to gimme drawing suggestions for Snootlings
@frogandbird @fallowgenes and @feliadox were so nice to give me petals, feathers and scales as prompts!
They are v ruff around the edges but I still wanted to share :3c
If ya have any further suggestions, I'd be happy to oblige 𐔌՞ ܸ.ˬ.ܸ՞𐦯
Working on a proper introduction for our Snootling Keeper here, but I thought I'd may just give you a lil peek into his daily life
(feat. lil Celvie Maluna, adopted from @fallowgenes / @celestial-meadows personal assistant)
Taking care of a hoard of curious young Snootlings is no easy task~
If ya curious what Baby Snootlings sound like

I'm going to hopefully finish the proper introduction for him v soon but if ya got any questions for him, be it regarding his work with Snootlings or some other stuff, feel free to drop them in the inbox :3c
❀ The Beginning ❀
Chapter one of a deep dive into the Snootling lore
Part 1 - Part 2 [in work]
Very rushed and rough drawings, I was getting excited and wanted to put it out here asap
𐔌՞ ܸ.ˬ.ܸ՞𐦯
I am kinda challenging myself to make the Lore a bit more tasty by leaving snippets with drawings and comics here and there instead of dropping it as one big wall of text onto you.
Reading is boring so if you want to see the whole story, give me lots of time to get this done bit by bit :D I'm trying my bestes....
But you are very welcome to ask questions ofc :3c
Some Baby Snootlings Fun Facts!
I have a lot of fun throwing the itties around my doodles tho I thought I may share some stats about them :3c
Snootlings are born mostly in batches between 2-5 eggs. After hatching their first instinct is to climb either of their parents as form of protection and safety. During their youth they spend most of their time riding on the backs of their parents until they're strong enough to slowly explore the world themselves.
But even when they get older, they sometimes huddle on top of each other as a source of comfort
It is very hard to differentiate female and male baby Snootlings if they're still very young, since they all have the male typical head fluff and naked tails. With time they will either grow the more voluminous mane and fluffy tail or will keep the head fuzz and grow addition tuff on their tails.
They are quite small compared to their adult versions but grow very quickly. Before they're reaching full adulthood, there is a kind of ritual they have to go through. Until they've been able to fulfill this tradition, their fire properties won't be able developed properly, which can be the cause a lot of risks, including involuntary combustion or causing massive wildfires.
I have tried myself on @frogandbird little challenge ❀
I wanted to do a female version as well but I was kinda struggling a bit with this guy already so I at least wanted to drop this here BEFORE attempting another try
This was fun! Thank you for the challenge Crow :3c
