“What I’m trying to say is that I’m leaving. I’m leaving andI’m never coming back. I wanted you to be the first one to know.”

Miguel could feel his heart shatter. He knew by the tone ofDiego’s voice that he’d never been more serious in his life. It almost seemedlike a joke, but the darkness in his friend’s eyes seemed legitimate.

“Where are you going to go?” Miguel asked.

“I’m not sure. But I don’t think I wanna stay here anylonger.”

“I thought you wanted to become the number one plant warlockin the world. Isn’t here the best place to do that?”

“Well, I was thinking about that,” Diego bit his bottom lip.“That dream seems a little… juvenile, don’t you think? You were right, I wasaiming way too high. Becoming number one is impossible, there’s always going tobe someone who’s better than you. If not now, then eventually. You’ll lose yourplace as king and then people will call you a failure or a fraud; maybe they’lleven accuse you of never being talented to begin with. It seems too stressful.”

“… Are you fucking kidding?”

Diego’s eyes widened. “W-What?” he stammered.

“What’s gotten into you? You never let what people say getto you. Now, all of a sudden, it’s a huge issue to you? What’s your problem?”

“Wha- Nothing’s my ‘problem’. This a decision I made on myown. I thought you’d support me, that’s why I decided to tell you first—”

“—Don’t give me that. This doesn’t seem like you. Be honest,did someone say something to you to make you feel like that? You’re seriouslygonna give up your dream because you’re afraid of a little backlash? That’s…not you.”

“What do you know about me?” Diego asked, his fistsclenched. “Do you know anything about me, Miguel? Anything at all? Or do youjust have an ideal image of who I am in your head? I’m not happy all the time,I’m not confident all the time. I hurt too… I hurt and I get scared and crytoo. I’m not a superhuman. This is me.The real me, the insecure me. I can’t blame you for not knowing the real me. Ispent all of my time trying to make you happy. It was seriously draining. But,I love you too much to see you down.”

“Then don’t go,” Miguel reached out for Diego’s hand. “Ifyou care enough, then don’t go. Please, stay. Please.”

Diego sighed. “Are you begging me? That’s a little unlikeyou—”

“—Stop fucking around. This isn’t the time to joke around.Don’t joke about leaving. You being here means more to people than you think,not just to me. Hell, I can’t- I can’t even imagine my life here without you.So, maybe just think before you make a decision like that.”

Diego pulled Miguel into a close embrace, Diego’s headresting in Miguel’s shoulder. Miguel hugged back, wrapping his arms around theslightly shorter boy.

“I’m sorry.” Diego whispered.

she’s some weirdo white girl on this website who’s like.. 18 and “likes lolis” and sexualizing children along with her equally gross clone whose name i can’t remember at this time

but pretty much minty does yellowface and does japanese makeup on herself in order to look more japanese while simultaneously having no respect for asian people. she’s also extremely creepy and stalks someone at her school
