This is kinda funny—
Just based off the little questioner-
How much of yourself do you put in your writing?
Writing mostly Xreaders, that genre is supposed to my generally open ended and left for the reader to fill in the blanks. I remember when I wrote Xreaders, I found myself putting a lot of my own characteristics into the Reader character. It’s never bad, of course. It’s actually really good and let’s a reader emerge themselves, especially when those little characteristics are something they can relate to. But how often do you find yourself writing yourself into an Xreader?
Hello Snowball!
I actually write myself in all my writing. I've said this in my pinned post, but everything I write is for myself. Therefore, it only made sense if I put a little bit of me in every fic I publish.
I know it sounds selfish, but it is what makes writing enjoyable for me! I put at least one characteristic from me into each reader 'vessel'.
In Stuck With You, I implemented my quietness and resting bitch face when I'm at work.
Emmet's Web is where I poured all my self-deprecating thoughts so I don't have to bottle them up anymore.
Sons of Man and Strangers Like Me has a Reader who can draw (I used to go to animation college!). It also has a slightly more meta and goofier narrative to reflect how I'd feel if I was met with fine, buff bachelors after being stranded in ancient times with no way of getting myself off HAHAHAHAHA
And it seems that plenty of people can relate and immerse themselves just fine in these 'reader' vessels, despite them having their own personalities and mindsets that I share.
So yeah! How much do I write myself in these x Reader fics? All the time, with a couple of jigsaw puzzle pieces worth of my soul in each of them. The rest can be filled in the blanks by the Reader themselves!
Happy Whumpmas◦°˚\☺/˚°◦🎅⛄❄️!!! You have just been snowballed by a secret whumper. Help to keep the snowball fight going by anonymously sending this to five other whumpers with a whump-related question of your choice: favourite childhood whump related memory.
Hmm it’s pretty hard to narrow down a specific ‘memory’, I just vaguely remember a lot of whumpy daydreaming, play-acting and other assorted fun in my childhood. I guess... either when POTC2 came out and Will Turner got whipped and it just about blew my mind even though I didn’t whump him as much as Legolas, or maybe when we studied the story of Guy Fawkes in school at about 9 years old and it properly introduced me to the concept of torture lol.

Gotta love bruises 👌
I guess I would say I like them best when the whumpee’s been beaten? I can’t think of that many other reasons why they might have bruises specifically. Maybe the whumpee is trying to hide them so that the caretaker doesn’t know what was done to them... >:D
*SPLAT* you just got snowballed! So, WELCOME TO THE SNOWBALL FIGHT OF 2012!!!! Ok, here's how it works. you say three to five random facts about yourself, then you go Anonymous and snowball your five favorite blogs. If you get snowballed again then you CANNOT snowball any blogs you snowballed before, except if you're out of blogs to snowball. Have fun!
YES! Love these things!!!
1. I have a "favorite side" of my body. My right side. So I tend to chew food on my right side, use my right hand more if I can help it, and sometimes when I'm walking on the side walk I'll try to make my right foot always cross the line. Yes, I am weird. I've accepted that.
2. I love snow. It's my favorite kind of weather. Unfortunately I live in the south so...
3. My favorite thing to do is laugh until I cry.
