Snowbarry Week 2021 is going ahead, albeit on different dates. New dates have been chosen in November, coinciding with the week before Season 8 airs, and also to avoid clashing with major holidays. We wanted to ensure everyone had plenty of time to create.
We’ve also chosen the prompts so as to speed the process along; these prompts were chosen from those submitted to us. As promised, each day has 2 prompts - you can do one or the other, or both if you like! - and we’ve also got extras for artists, as well as a few song prompts.

Can days be combined?
YES! Outsider POV for a period drama? Or established relationship, and mistaken identity? All joking aside, you can combine whichever prompts you’d like.
Can I create work for both the artists prompts and the writer prompts?
ABSOLUTELY YES!
Can I use the artists prompts for a fic, or the writer prompts for art work?
GO CRAZY!
If I want to contribute something do I have to do something for every day?
Not at all. You’re free to commit to a single day, and we will be so flipping excited to see it. The point is just to have fun with the prompts, even if it’s just the one.
Can I post a WIP that I started working on before that fits a Snowbarry Week theme?
Yes, of course! We’re not a Big Bang, or even a Mini Bang, we don’t require art or fic to have been created from scratch for exactly this week.
I’m going to be busy/out of town during Snowbarry Week. Can I post early/late?
We’d really like to avoid early posting. If you’re out of town or too busy the week itself you can always schedule posts for the correct dates.
Posting late shouldn’t be a problem. Posting Day 1 on Day 3 is also perfectly fine, just make sure we can tell which day you’re posting for, so our heads don’t start spinning.
What does free day mean?
Basically, free day is where you decide what prompt you want to do something with. As long as it’s Snowbarry, you’re okay to do whatever you want. A free day in the middle of the week might also provide some much needed breathing space for all the contributors.
And since this is our bumper anniversary edition Snowbarry Week, our free day also doubles as an opportunity to create for any of our past prompts! If there was a prompt you didn’t manage to finish something for, or just always liked the sound of doing but missed the opportunity, we’d love to see that for this day to have a fun revival of some of the great prompts from past events.
What does [insert theme] mean?
Oh man, this is a hard one to answer. In the spotlight could mean a Celebrity or Politician AU, or it could be about team karaoke, or even a talent show in high school! We can’t tell you which roles to cast your characters in, because everyone has different interpretations. If you can justify the connection, we’re pretty sure you’re good.
Does my idea fit the theme?
Like we said above, if you can justify it, we’re pretty sure you’re good. If you’re really not sure, hit us up!

Barry pulled frost close. Her heart sped up at being this close to him.
“I'm sick of this, Frost. You’ve been trying to get rid of girls I like. Either you want me, or you don’t. What’s it gonna be?!” Barry said.
His eyes did not reflect his anger, they were instead pleading for frost to admit her feelings towards him.
“I wish I could give you an answer that makes sense but relationships are complicated.” Frost said loudly, her eyes flickered toward Barry’s lips, Barry noticed.
“We’ll I’m gonna keep you here, in my arms until you admit you’re into me. Nothing complicated about that.”
Barry kept Frost in his arms. The chill he felt did not deter him, Frost stared at him and he stared at her. Frost was stubborn, but it would take a matter of time before she confessed… Barry knew it. He just knew it…
Since I didn't really get much else done for this Snowbarry Week, I figured I could post a short little tease and graphic for one of the other stories I have started. @simplysnowbarry
Day 1 theme: "five years is a long time"
Title: Bittersweet Feeling
Pairing: Barry/Caitlin
Summary: It’s been five long years since Caitlin left Team Flash and Central City. There's so much that's different not only for Caitlin but for the team she left behind as well. Will they accept her back, even with the skeletons in her past?
“Hello?” His voice was rough, full of sleep, but it was him nonetheless.
Caitlin bit down on her bottom lip, old anxieties and insecurities warring themselves in her gut like a heavy storm on a lake. Maybe she shouldn’t have called . . .
“Is someone there? Hello? Look, okay, it’s like the middle of the night, so--”
“It’s me . . .” The voice that squeaked out of her throat was unfamiliar even to her and she cringed.
The tension was horribly palpable in the air, even over the phone line, as she listened to the sound of his breathing and the audible sharp intake of breath. “Wait -- C-Cait?! Caitlin!? Is that really you? Dr. Caitlin Snow? Please tell me it’s you! Are you okay!?”
“It’s me, Barry. I’m okay.” Her voice trembled, barely holding the shame-filled tears in.
Red and blue flashing lights caught her eye down the highway, multiple police cars headed straight for the little gas station she was currently stranded at. She looked around, seeing no other cars or customers or people aside from the middle-aged man dozing behind the register inside. All the while the ominous train of law enforcement vehicles drew closer and closer . . . right to her.
“It’s been a while,” Barry sighed heavily, and she could just see him scratching the back of his neck in her mind - the stress on his face. “Five years is a long time, Cait. A long time.”
“I know . . . I . . . I did something. Or, um, sort of? I--”
“Whatever it is, it doesn’t matter. Not to our friends - not to me.”
“I messed up, so bad. I know that, but--” The police cars were almost on her, so close, “Look, Barry, I’m in a bit of a situation here and . . . well, I didn’t know where else to turn. I promise nothing is as it seems, if you just let me expl--”
“Wait, are those sirens!?” He cut her off.
“Like I was saying, if I could just explain. But I’m out of time, and I could really use a bit of help from the Flash. Like….right now? Please?” She told him where she was, the mile marker of the small town a few states away from Central City.
Within moments, he came to a stop at her side - clad in blue plaid pajama pants, a grey shirt, and a pair of slippers. The brightest of smiles broke out on his lips as he locked eyes with her, arms wrapping around her in a tight hug. “You have no idea how good it is to see you, Cait.”
She melted into the warmth of his embrace, her body sagging in relief against his. It would be so easy to just disappear, right here, in the welcoming arms of a friend.
But the looming wail of sirens getting closer in the background cut through the comfort like a cold knife. Her blood froze, her skin tingled, panic settling in. She pulled back, even as his arms held her tighter. “Barry, I--”
He shook his head, eyes scanning the chaos behind her. “You’re safe, I’ve got you. Let’s get you home.”

BACKGROUND: Frost and Barry are at a party and pretending to be a couple in order to spy on a big crime lord that came to Central City. Frost didn’t account that she had to dress in a ridiculous dress and have to dance with Barry, she didn’t even know how to dance.
“I look ridiculous,” Frost huffed
“I think you look great my ice queen.”
“Call me that again and I’ll cut your legs off,” Frost growled
“You know you like it,” Barry teased
