Not a Squirrel || Older!Hiccup rp || Jack & Hiccup
He was doing to tests, a few runs with the Toothless and the suit. Hiccup was gliding further and further each time and he'd been able to correct the balancing issue, what with his prosthetic and such. It'd been a bit difficult to manage at first, but it was to a manageable level now. He's lost count of how many fittings he had for his, um, not-leg.
Toothless grumbled again as Hiccup unlatched himself from the saddle. "One more time, eh buddy?" The dragon groaned, flicking his ears in anticipation. "Let's see if we can actually make a few tricks, huh?" The viking flexed his shoulders, before slipping off his dragon. His eyes were shut, as they sliced through the air. The wind pressed against his face, through the mask.
Then the air started to get colder.
Okay. weird but nothing to worry about, it was getting kinda dark anyhow. Berk was always cold at night. If that was possible.
And then the wind picked up.
Another clue Hiccup missed. Toothless carooned underneath him, pupils thinning as he sniffed the air. "You okay Toothless?" His dragon's attention snapped up towards him for a moment, before back to the empty air ahead of them.
So really, when Toothless growled and something blue zoomed past in the horizon, Hiccup should've realized what and who it was.
