I always find it hard to pin down, but if I had to try…
Maybe the sharp scent of the ink that outlines words in secret notes, written to describe the sweetest types of undoings.
It could contain a sweet fragrance akin to wild berries. The type you might find in the woods, beautiful to touch but dangerous to taste, but the floral undertones beckon you to do so anyway.
Perhaps, it's the earthy scent of oak logs burning in a fire. It's warmth reminiscent of heat blooming on skin after fingertips have trailed along it.
Even the comforting laundered scent of a wool sweater that is inhaled deeply after a desperately needed embrace...
....Something like that.
Winter snows are melting away, the snowdrops are in bloom, and the crisp cold air is warmed by the sun - early spring days are so often filled with wonderful welcoming change that tells us brighter days are already on their way.
