Cold Reunion (Closed)

It was disappointing how little Hisui went to a proper hero gym to train with her personal trainer. Most of the time she would blow off the booked sessions in favour of sleep. But today she had her yearly strength and endurance test (something she thought she didn’t need) so not going wasn’t an option. Arriving earlier in the day to miss the press she would get her testing done and would finally leave after a few long hours. 

Changed into her street clothing, she would walk past the press being able to fly under the radar thanks to her already not being in the media due to her being underground. Sighing as she would get a few feet away she would pull out her phone and adjust her bag to sit comfortably when she heard a scream to pull her attention. Quickly putting her phone away and putting in the small ear piece that she used to communicate she would sprint to the area of the scream. Even if she was off duty, she would still be expected to respond given her status as a hero.

The snowfall was harsh this night. Most had already retired to their tents, seeking the warmth of furs and fires. It was not out of comfort, but necessity, lest the people of the Winter’s Claw succumb to the winter... But Vrynna needed no shelter. She braved the cold alone, searching for the figure she was sure she’d seen moving through the snow. In all likelihood the blizzard would claim them, but if they were an enemy scout hoping to use the storm as an ambush, she needed to find them and make certain...

Crossing her arms close to her bosom as she slowly tapped her foot on the ground, she created a shadow clone of herself behind the Freljordian, who immediately hugged him, giving him a quick peck on his cheek.

«Regardless of your answer, we have prepared a few goods for you, Bori! You shouldn’t wander with an empty stomach!»

“No, you shouldn’t!”

The shadow clone parroted, pouting a little as she grabbed his human arm, followed by the Lunari who grabbed his icy one, both hellbent on taking him with them to eat a decent meal.

Akali had arrived on a mission, summoned by the man’s family, and it looks as though she arrived in the nick of time.  She grabs hold of the amplifier and lifts it, freeing it from its prison between the door and the wall.

Then, she turns to the man with a quirked eyebrow and easy smile and says, “I’m...?”  The shock on his face makes it plenty evident what he wants to say, but she’s not in the business of putting words in people’s mouths.

Adjusting her grip on the amp as it starts to slip slightly, she asks, “Where do you want it, huh?  Hopin’ to put it down sometime before Christmas.”

Her appearance was very strange but he’d perhaps seen strange before… but her aura, the survivors sixth sense in his mind and gut screamed danger – he was quite on edge around whoever this was, taking a step back, “ who are you…? ”

She noticed his hesitance, how could she not... The entity could not blame him for it, nor did she plan to; were she in his shoes, she’d do the same. What irony, when men ran to her for succor, now they fled from her out of fear of malevolence...

❝ Nobody you should be afraid of, child. Though, if you must know, many refer to me as Aumia. ❞

She smiled faintly, the candelabrum she held never losing its flames, even as the cold wind hit them.

❝ There is no need for fear. As I previously said, you aren’t the one I am after. ❞

Janna’s eyes softened at his manner and words. She would not turn him away. 

“I do not know the way your storm rages, but...I will help however I can.“

Her words turned slightly teasing and she couldn’t help her smile. “You seem quite proficient in speaking with strangers if your approaching of me is any indicator.”
