“Here, babe,” Lisa passed Cait a drink.  It was important for Cait to keep extra coolnow that the weather was warming up.

“Oh, thank you,” Cait smiled, flushing when she expected totake a sip only to be met with an immobile lump.

Amusement brightened Lisa’s face as she handed her a spoon.

A bite slid smoothly down Cait’s throat.  She hummed at the taste: a pink concoction ofbananas and strawberries.  Banana was thestronger flavor, but Cait liked bananas more anyway, so it was exactly what thedoctor ordered.

Day three: AU

Heathers AU- or the one I've been planning since January

The new girl is wearing a leather jacket. It sticks out in a pastel-eat-pastel world. Caitlin bites her lip and looks over again. The girl sees her and smiles, winking.

She is wearing red lipstick, and Caitlin remembers what she has been told about girls who wear red lipstick and wink and finds herself blushing and smiling back anyway.

"God, Cait, drool much?" Hartley Rathaway asks, and she jumps, caught. "Look, her name's Lisa Snart. She's in my American History."

Rosalind rolls her eyes. "Who the fuck cares? Go on, if you're that desperate for her,"

"Hello, Lisa Snart," Caitlin says as she approaches, and it's meant to sound drawling and confident but it comes out shyly, like a girl who is experiencing a first crush.

"Greetings and salutations." Lisa Snart replies, and smirks up at Caitlin, giving her full and undivided attention. "What brings you over to my little corner of the world?"

"I know nearly everyone in the school," Caitlin replies, tilting her head. "I like to get to know the ones I don't. And currently-" with those words, she leans down, "I don't know you,"

"Well, you know my name which is more than I can say," Lisa replies.

"Fuck. Sorry, forgot about that. Caitlin Snow." Caitlin says with a smile, extending her arm.

"Lisa Snart. But you already knew that," Lisa replies, and instead of shaking Caitlin's hand, she kisses it, making eye contact with the auburn haired girl.

Caitlin flushes again, laughing shakily when a hand claps down on her shoulder.

"Come on, Cait," Rosalind hisses, rolling her eyes. "The fucking bells about to go, and I need your notes for bio!"

"So, later?" Caitlin asks.

"Most definitely," Lisa Snart says with another fucking wink.

They meet at a convenience store, on the way to Sam Scudder's party. Rosalind is in love with the man, who happens to be in uni, which happens to boost Rosa's social standing.

Which is surely a coincidence.

"Twice in one day?" Lisa Snart giggles, making Caitlin jump. "Wow, you must be stalking me,"

"Could be the other way round," Caitlin replies coyly, twirling an auburn curl around her finger.

"So it could," Lisa asks and laughs. "What brings a fancy girl like you to the Snappy Snack Shack?"

"Corn nuts," Caitlin replies. "Yes, I wish I were kidding,"

Lisa laughs. "Cmon, they're over here,"

"So why are you at the Snappy Snack Shack?" Caitlin asks.

"My brother works here. It's the only time I get to see him," Lisa admits, smiling brightly at a man behind the register.

"I'm sorry," Caitlin says quietly. "I lost my own...I can only imagine how hard it would be for you,"

"Well, don't be sorry," Lisa says, presenting Caitlin with a bag of corn nuts. "Now, have you had the Lisa Snart special?"

"The what?" Cailtin asks and Lisa grins, and it's dangerous, but Caitlin smiles back, tired of being afraid of the danger.

"Show me," she says a minute later, and allows Lisa to grab her hand, the warm fingers entwined with her own.

Danger can be fun, after all.

The party goes to shit.

Of fucking course.

Caitlin sees Hunter Zoloman, Sam's college friend, slip something in her drink and tries to leave and Rosa blows up at her, screaming about how without her Caitlin is nothing.

She bites her lip to hold back tears of frustration. She wished she'd stayed with Lisa.

Dear Diary, Caitlin pens, I want to kill.
