dctv femslash week DAY TWO: crossover | superwest (kara/iris)
Rival reporters Kara and Iris have never been quiet about their dislike for each other. So when they’re put on the same story, they both expect the usual: snark, open hostility, and a race to be the first to break the story. Iris is determined to win, but when Kara’s digging attracts the attention of an incredibly dangerous criminal, Iris doesn’t hesitate to step in and protect her, drawing the two women closer than they ever thought possible. But will their blossoming feelings for each other be dashed by tragedy?
i could make you happy
i could make you love me
i could disappear completely
i could be your love song
i could be long gone
i could be a ghost in your eardrum
when you sleep, will it be with me
DCTV Femslash Week | Day 2: Different Shows
–
a little aggressive
– in a world where the black canary emerged to protect central city around the same time as the flash, iris west spends her time trying to track down the elusive superheroine. a sit-down interview is more than she could've ever hoped for, and somehow still not enough at all.
(a sanvers ficlet for @dctvfemslashweek day one: same show)
They’re sitting outside on Maggie’s tiny porch, a few beers in. It’s a Friday night, it’s late now, and work still lingers on them both. They haven’t moved in over an hour, drained empty after a day they’d both like to forget, but probably won’t.
Alex glances over at Maggie. She’s curled up sideways in her chair and her eyelids are heavy, fighting sleep. Her face is barely illuminated by the glow of the streetlights, the hazy moonlight.
Maggie catches Alex looking at her and slowly stands up, grimacing as she does. She steps over to Alex, sits down on her lap without pause. Alex instinctively rests a hand on Maggie’s back, settles her arm lazily around Maggie’s waist.
Maggie reaches for the half-finished bottle Alex is holding, takes a drink, and sets it aside. She leans into Alex, nuzzles against her cheek. Then she kisses Alex’s forehead, once, a second time.
Maggie pulls back, looks at Alex straight on. She smirks, whispers, “Hi.”
Alex kisses Maggie’s cheek, finds her mouth next. “Hi, babe.”
“I hate that we had to cancel dinner.”
“Mmm,” Alex hums sleepily, a little sultry. She inches her hand down Maggie’s hip. “I like this better.”
Maggie tilts her head. Her eyes are weary but teasing. “Oh, do you?”
Alex nods intently. “I do.”
Maggie bites her lip and laughs, a real one where her eyes go all squinty. Alex grins, and Maggie wraps both her arms around Alex’s neck. Alex eases forward, melts into Maggie.
Alex closes her eyes for a minute, thinks about how all she’s wanted all day is to be near Maggie, exactly like this. She thinks about how, lately, close calls find them too often. She thinks about how that’s exactly what they both signed up for, but now the stakes are different, more.
She feels her heart start to race, but then Maggie’s hugging her a bit tighter, grounding her panicked thoughts without a word said, and everything slows down again.
Alex breathes Maggie in, returns to this moment. This is all she wants: this, Maggie, them, never the end.
