I now live in a state that completely shuts down when a lot of snow dumps on us overnight. Like the freeways to and from our town were SHUT DOWN for over 24 hours. Meaning semis were parked everywhere! We had 12" come overnight and the winds made some incredible drifts but still! We were an island! Mail was delayed and all the roads and parking lots were jam packed with semis. We live off one of the main freeways that runs east and west over most of the US. It's bananas to think that we can just not plow a main freeway for over 24hours! This town is weird man! In WI 12" wouldn't shut down freeways and all the roads would be plowed within 24 hours. We're going on 48 and my road only has a driving lane plowed.
