There's a foot of snow outside, with an inch of ice on top of it, and my boss is still asking me if I can make it to work.
Keep in mind, I live in NC. Where this much snow at once caused mass panic. The campus I work on is closed, but for some STUPID REASON, they're trying to open as many dining facilities as they can.
BITCH! Open one dining hall with the staff that can SAFELY get to work, maybe two if you can manage it, but don't put other people's lives at risk just so these kids can have multiple dining options.
You don't look like badasses to the rest of the NC schools. You look like fucking idiots.
And what's worse, you want to punish the ones that can't make it in! You want one of my locations to be open from 3pm-9pm! Are you forgetting that everything will refreeze, which puts people's lives at risk even more?
I'm so done with this place. They care more about looking good, than the lives they employ.
But what am I doing? Getting in my truck and attempting to drive to work, so that I don't lose my job yet. I don't have another one lined up, so I can't quit yet.
