i am absolutely in love with beast tamer!yuu [especially beast tamer yuu + great seven yuu UGHHH] them having a sort of domineering and commanding personality, when they speak, everyone listens. they may be a little [a lot] intimidating, but they're not a bad guy. to train a dog, you must have both punishment and reward. if you're nice to them, they'll pay you back tenfold, but if you're rude... start praying.

definitely crewel's apprentice/unofficial adopted child. and maybe he gifts them a baton/whip O.O

also, beast tamer yuu that can make pacts. if you've ever played obey me, i'm taking inspo from that. it's mostly with non humans like fae, beastmen, animals, etc. maybe they can make them with humans too? idk.

BEAST TAMER YUU COVERED IN PACT MARKS. THE DESIGNS SYMBOLIZE THE PERSON THEY MADE THE PACT WITH. TATTOOED YUU>>>

Ngl, I imagine beast tamer Yuu and the great 7 parents Yuu are the same person. After all, can you imagine all of the 7 arguing over what animal to tame. Being able to maybe borrow their magic for a bit??

Now on top of that the 7 also have their own familiar they can summon, and on Yuus body as a tattoo waiting to be summoned. The Eels are there ocean exploration and stealth when you want to learn more about someone. Pain and Panic there are mostly distractions/little servants. Iago is there to scout. And Maleficents crow is there to help you fly. It can turn into a dragon after all...

as most people know, jade (the stone,) is very popular in china (and other asian countries!) for its spiritual meaning and cultural significance.

so, asian!yuu calling jade (the eel) their lucky charm. and/or using the nicknames "jem" or "precious" <333

unfortunately there isn't a teal jade, but green is pretty close. it symbolizes growth, life, luck, peace, and prosperity. since its so popular, its meaning changes depending on who you ask, its basically been used to represent every positive aspect of life.

for his eyes, black jade means intelligence and perception, its also used as a magic stone (like crystals.) and yellow means joy or happiness :)

Omg this is so cute. You call him your precious gem or good luck charm and Jade may not show it but he melts at the explanation for it. He feels so loved and warm and you may see a genuine smile on his face in private.

ramshackle, over the years would definitely accept some more students. an anon mentioned this earlier, the students there have weak/no magic but an affinity for beast taming. not many people are sorted into that dorm because of the rarity of beast tamers, but they are highly respected.

nrc probably gives ramshackle an actual name, color, and emblem (consider, grim/overblot grim being the dorm's mascot) but everyone just calls it ramshackle bc it's easier. (even though the building looks nice now)

also, yuu graduating and becoming a professional beast tamer, they deal with altercations concerning non humans, and ethical removal/capture of magical animals, and probably some other stuff. maybe they'll work with deuce, who (i think?) is studying to become a magical enforcement officer.

AND, consider the following, since beast taming is rare yuu gets paid a fuck ton for their work and they're just like "fuck crowley i should of done this earlier" and crowley, being the lovely deadbeat dad he is, is like "heyyy my lovely wonderful son :))) i am am soo proud of you nd love you sooo much!!! canihavesomemoney"

I can also see future rulers calling upon them to deal with very powerful magic monsters as well. Probably a bit of a nomad due to the nature of their job but they have a few homes here and there and travel with their pack of animals. Probably owns lots of acres of farm land for their lil guys to roam free.

Also yeah Crowley would he sucks up to u and gives you a sob story on how difficult it is being headmage and how he needs a vacation *wink wink nudge nudge*

i forgot to say this in my last ask but beast tamer yuu/their dorm might represent "the hero," or "the knight [in shining armor.]" because they are literally subduing or defeating "the beast," and bringing peace to nrc or whatever

they definitely fit the 'guy from far away land comes into town and fixes everything and/or fights bad guys and becomes a hero' troupe.

little idea: rsa sees what yuu is doing and is like "yo you do not belong here with these weirdos. wanna uh,,, transfer?" and yuu will either be like "if i leave these idiots will die and the whole school will collapse." or "damn i'm rlly tempted rn ngl."

also, thoughts on 'yuu goes to rsa for a month for a transfer student program'? i've seen other writers do this and i want to hear your thoughts. lots of crack potential with this one
