Two little Easter witches would like to bless your house!

While "virpominen" was done a week ago in most areas of Finland, in my part of the country the day is today! Colourful little witches can be seen going house to house warding off evil spirits and bringing good luck with decorated pussy willow branches, receiving little treats in exchange.

Snowyblossom's clothing

Obviously Snowyblossom is dressed up by her parents (Echowhisper and Prancer) for most of her childhood.

As a baby she wore mostly dresses (usually with ruffled sleeves) with stockings. For finer occasions she wore an overall dress with a neat shirt.

The second she was old enough to have her own opinions, she heavily pivoted toward a bit more "boyish" clothing. Plain shirts and comfortable pants are all a kid needs while throwing sand on other kids in the sandbox. She also refused to wear anything but sandals (both with and without socks). The cap just had to be worn backwards (she knew from early age what she was). On Sundays she wore dresses. She didn't necessarly hate it, but it sure wasn't the most convenient attire for crawling under the church benches and rose bushes.

For winter she dressed like any other finnish kid: Several layers of wool clothing and waterproof overalls. The boots are strapped on the feet, but somehow she still manages to come home with damp socks and paws. Obviously she is also covered in safety reflectors! This kid will not go unnoticed by any car.

Primary school Snowy really didn't care about her style too much, she just wanted to feel comfortable. She was handed a bunch of old clothes from her older cousins and wore them happily (with some interesting combinations...). Among her new clothes were several pairs of jeans, striped pullovers and hoodies with text prints in foreign languages. She didn't really understand or care about what they said, she cared more about the zipper she could gnaw on whenever she thought no-one was looking. She frequently wore her "keltanokka liikenteessä" cap to match her friends.

As Snowy grew older, she started to find her style. She felt the most comfortable in jeans, cargo pants and grandpa sweaters. During winter her combat boots hide the ugliest but also warmest wool socks. She prioritizes weather-appropriate clothing and isn't afraid to look silly while doing so. Simple and practical, all she really needs from clothes. Sometimes she gets a bit cRazY and adds... a necklace. Her style is what I like to call "eräjorma core."

And she is still wearing lots of reflectors. Obviously. Adults aren't immune to getting hit by a car in the dark!

Sorry if this is obvious already and I just completely missed it but I'm kinda confused about snowy's parentage (if that's the right word), with echo being her mom but I'm 90% sure prancer and pondfish are in a relationship, so is echo a surrogate for the two? And was she the one who had all the miscarriages? (And sorry again if I got something wrong and for shortening their names)

Well...tECHNICALLY... yeah... but it isn't a conscious decision, there was no communication about it and they don't even realise that's what they have technically done.

Prancer and Echowhisper are "happily" married and Echo indeed had all those miscarriages (and stillbirths). Prancer is Snowy's father and Echowhisper is her mother, a traditional TOTALLY HETEROSEXUAL family, like they are expected to be.

So what about Pondfish? What is his role here?

How the other cats see it, Pondfish is just a close family friend.

He has no children and is unmarried, he has no one waiting for him at home. He and Prancer have known each other for a long time and everyone knows they are best friends, obviously he is the cat he turns to when he needs company. Boys will be boys no matter how grown they are! How nice of Prancer and his family to include this lonely middle-aged man in their family! It must be so nice for Snowy too to have Uncle-Popo around to play with!

That's how it is, it must be, because being gay doesn't exist! Or if it did... surely two respected preachers wouldn't do such a thing...

Surely not...

Surely I'm the only one having these feelings.

Sometimes, in silent moments we share, it feels like he does as well, but it must be just wishful thinking. And even if it wasn't, it's not like it could ever be. He is a man of god, he knows better than to stray from the path set for him.

So, I will not say anything. I'll take the little moments, stay by your side, settle on being your friend. Even if it is too little for me, it's better than scaring you off and having nothing at all.

TL;DR

Prancer and Pondfish would be gay together if it was allowed. Since it isn't, they are "friends". Free Echo from this hell.
