owlhug-
I got an owl hug, i got an owl hug!
Tagged by the lovely @snowyowlpost to post ten of my favorite books. So here they are, in random order:
The world according to Garp - John Irving Perfume - Patrick Süskind The alchemist - Paulo Coelho Moby Dick - Herman Melville The name of the rose - Umberto Eco Ilias & Odessey - Homer The hobbit / The lord of the rings - J.R.R. Tolkien 1984 - George Orwell Animal farm - George Orwell Thus spoke Zarathustra - Friedrich Nietzsche
We share a love for Homer’s Odessey! And I really should take my time to read ‘Wuthering Heights’. It’s been recommended to me many times.
I tag @wrote-you-a-poem, @z3ng33kgr7, @baileeofhay, @mgreywood, and @cravingwitandwisdom to share their favorite reads :)
(as always, no pressure though)
How Can One?
How can one move on when the heart still loves? How can one heal when one still bleeds? I am still breathing and the heart still beats...it is some progress but the silence makes these Winter nights even longer. How can one hold on when two hearts are weeping? We know love yet lives though her candle is faint. Both badly burned, do we now fear the flame? Our silence oppressive, the nights far too cold. Fingers reach for lost warmth finding nothing to hold. But my heart it beats too, filled with longing for you. Say it to me please, say we're worth one more try. Collaboration with the lovely, warm and talented Katerina Isabella. The first verse in italics is hers, the second verse is me trying to keep up. Thank you dear friend.

You will probably be the only one who would miss me. So keep me alive and breathing in your memories. Soon you will discover, I live because you breathe.

I slip back into being pessimistic and sadness quite often…and most of those writings are cries for help that others can relate to. I only have started writing again because of an unlikely event.
Those are emotions I would gladly do without, but I seem to be incapable of writing when I am content. When I’m not pessimistic or depressed, I feel empty. lol. Not to be an emotional slob. I started writing again because I had a friend whose writing I wanted to share. I didn’t expect to be pulled along. Now it seems the things I wanted to write during the time I wasn’t writing have all been said, and there isn’t anything to write anymore. Which is a good thing I suppose. Is the unlikely event a good one or a bad one? But if it got you writing again, I can only see it as good.

Writing is not something that can be demanded, it comes with moments and emotions.Glad to have you still here. :)
I think so, too. It’s the same thing I tell friends who get into a frustrating slump. The tendency to be pessimistic doesn’t help though. haha. I dislike writing for the sake of writing, which is what I used to do in the past. I’m glad to be here, too. There isn’t anywhere else I can read as varied and beautiful writing as I can here :)
