Honestbee Now Lets You Buy Groceries From S&R Membership

I just found out the exciting news that honestbee has partnered with S&R Membership Shopping to let its users order their favorite groceries and imported items for delivery straight to their homes! This is such good news, especially since S&R Membership is my favorite shopping venue for fresh meats and seafood, high-quality wines and spirits, and other world-class products. Best of all, you don’t even have to be a member to shop!

Honestbee is Asia’s leading online concierge and delivery service which lets us shop for groceries and basic household needs in the comforts of our own homes. A special media event was held last August 1, 2018 at the Manila House Private Members Club to announce this new partnership between honestbee and S&R Membership. I have been an S&R member ever since I discovered its endless aisles of local and imported goods, including its picture perfect home renovation products (Read: My Picture Perfect Home at the S&R Members’ Treat ). The pretty Xandra Rocha-Araneta hosted the intimate event that showed how honestbee makes life so much easier at home and in the kitchen.

Guests were presented with a four-course lunch using ingredients that can all be ordered from S&R Membership through the honestbee app or website. This included a salad and soup dish with a juicy roasted chicken as the main course and a slice of apple pie with vanilla ice cream for dessert. Honestbee users can also order S&R’s famous New York-style pizza, chicken and churros for delivery.

With the help of the very cute honestbee mascot, Ms. Xandra demonstrated to the audience how ordering through the honestbee app is so easy and convenient. With just a few touches on your phone, you can expect your orders to arrive at your house in no time.

Aside from preparing a set of delicious snacks, Ms. Xandra also showed how to create a refreshing cocktail for your guests using items from S&R Membership Shopping.

Now we don’t need to fight the never ending traffic to visit our favorite S&R Membership outlet for our kitchen and household needs. Honestbee does all the work for us for just a small convenience and delivery fee. 

Since I will be stuck at home for the next few weeks, this is the perfect opportunity to use the honestbee app for my groceries.

The products are then properly packed and transported straight to your address. 

There are no other hidden fees when you shop using honestbee. Once you finish putting orders in your virtual cart, you can easily see your total price with an added concierge fee of P120 plus a delivery fee of P99. 

Depending on the time you place your order, expect your groceries to arrive in just around 3-4 hours. The expected delivery time is indicated clearly on top of the screen so you can schedule it properly. My package even came earlier than what was indicated, and its progress can also be easily tracked through the app.

Starting the Year Positively at S&R Membership Shopping

Now that the Christmas rush is over, it’s time to start the year on a fresh note and take stock of our goals and resolutions for the coming months ahead. It’s always a good idea to take a short breather and reflect on the things we need to do and accomplish in the new year. That’s probably the same way with groceries! Christmas Shopping at S&R Membership

I just realized that Christmas is less than a month away! With all the traffic in the city and our busy schedules, it’s sometimes hard to keep track of all our shopping lists. Going to the big malls is almost an impossible task itself, from having to find a parking space then jumping from one shop to another locating that particular item. Romantic Finds This February at S&R Membership

Valentine’s Day may be over but that does not mean that we have to stop showing our loved ones that we care. I visited S&R Membership just a few days ago for my usual shopping and found a lot of romantic and lovable items you can still give to your special someone even after the hectic Valentine’s season. But just as I was almost done with my shopping, I saw these imported Disney Frozen collectible toys that I really love. I know that I am too old for these, but I really wanted to have them. The Frozen Anna and Elsa (P1249.95) set just reminds me of me and my younger sister when we were still little. Should I buy it?? Healthy Treats at S&R Membership

The beginning of the new year always brings the same New Year’s resolutions from everyone, which is to go on a Diet, and that includes me. Most of these resolutions are already discarded even before January ends, but I am determined to follow my diet for the entire year. Take a look at my photos from early last year and you will see how much weight I have gained. So with my S&R Gold membership card in hand, I visited S&R Membership Shopping last week to look for some healthier alternatives to help me achieve my goals for the year.

Going on a diet actually means having a healthy breakfast to start the morning, so I plan to eat well with these fruity choices. This big box of Kellogg’s Raisin Bran (P479.95) is discounted from its original price of P579.95 so this should be a good start. It only has 190 calories per serving so that should keep my total daily calorie intake low. Let’s look for some more healthy options.

I do like eating oatmeal for breakfast so Raley’s Old-Fashioned Oats (P172.95) should also be in my basket. I’ll also get the Raley’s Maple & Brown Sugar (P122.95) to add some flavor and variety to my oatmeal. These are only 150-160 calories per serving!

Kids would probably love Raley’s Frosted Fruit Rolls and Coco Krunch Cereals (P252.95) to get them to eat their breakfast before going to school. Add some cold milk with these cereal and they are good to go.

Another healthy morning option is the cholesterol-free Krusteaz Chia & Hemp Mix (P499.95) which is discounted from P599.95. If you have time to prepare breakfast then this should be a more delicious item.

Of course, S&R Membership always has some great promotions like the Buy 1 Take 1 on the US Assorted Loaf which includes US Rhum Loaf, US Coffee Cinnamon Loaf and US Red Velvet Marble Loaf for only P169.95.

It is really difficult to resist some of the other delicious items at S&R Membership like the Zachary Orange Slices (P214.95). Uhmm, I’ll get some of these for my little brother.

I am still a milk drinker up to now because I need calcium for my bones, so the Cowhead SLIM (1L) is a great deal at only two for P253.25.

But sometimes I prefer to drink milk chocolate instead so I will also get a few of these Cowhead Choco 250ml (P189.95 pack of 6s) to drink on my cheat days.

Coffee lovers would enjoy the Starbucks Winter Blend (P1444.95 for 3 packs) so they can have their Starbucks fix at home.

Another discounted item I found is the Del Monte Acai Blueberry 32oz. (Two for P319.90) and also the Del Monte Prune Juice 32oz. (Two for P329.90). It is always better to drink real fruit juice rather than sodas or iced tea so this should be in the kitchen.

Those who are cramming for exams or in a hurry to catch a dealine at work should get these Monster Energy Drinks which has a promo of two for P160.90 from its original price of P175.90. But if you are on a diet, then get the Monster Ultra Energy Drink with zero calories instead! You can buy two for only P184.90 from its original price of P199.50.

Everyone has probably gotten to watch Star Wars: The Force Awakens so Kylo Ren is one of the new baddies we all hate. But I still couldn’t resist getting this Star Wars Winter Punch (P279.95) to display at home.

All those healthy items are good for the diet, but there are times when you really just need to cheat and eat something so indulgent like the Hostess Chocolate Twinkies (P299.95) and Hostess Ding Dongs (P299.95). They even have a promo on the Banana Twinkies which is only P399.95 for two boxes. That's savings of P199.95! It is really so hard so maintain a diet with all these tasty treats, but as they say, take everything in moderation and you should be okay. Wish me luck!
