Accident

A/N: Just some Highschool AU stuff.

Character: Taeyeon

Heck, accidentally kissing someone is painful.

“Even after all this time, I look at you in despair. For I know you, my love, in and out while of my most basic aspects you are still unaware.” you think.

“Y/N!” your teammate yells. You turn, only to see your opponent spike the ball towards him. He dives towards the ball but the ball bounces off his arms towards you.

“Shit” you think. Only to see the ball go high, away from you. You chase it, hoping to still be able to save the ball. Eyes on the ball, legs sprinting towards the ball, the only thought on your mind is, “Come on, come on.”

U prepare yourself for the dive to save the ball. You are close. Just a few more steps.

The smell strikes you first, for whatever reason, but then next, it’s the pain. Then you fall to the ground, clutching your jaw.

“Y/N!” Evan yells. You taste the blood. Your mouth is full of it. No. You get up, cracking your neck, before staggering forward.

You knew that smell. Only one girl in your school uses that perfume. And about half the school recognises it. Even in that mind numbing pain and blood choking you, the sensation of the softness of her lips, brushing against yours, lingers. You stagger towards Taeyeon, as not only her teammates, but clearly the male volleyballers who want to take advantage of the situation surround her.

Pain, then bliss, then worry. Not exactly the best combination of emotions, but heck, “Is she ok?” was the only thing on your mind. You push through the crowd of volleyballers surrounding her, only to see Taeyeon, in a similar situation, hand clutching her jaw. Yet, seeing her in her number 11 jersey and shorts, the sensation of the “kiss” lingering in your mind. You just want to go on down there, pick her up, and carry her back to the bleachers, and then nurse her wound, maybe with a couple more-

“Y/N,“ she says, mouth curling into a smile,”that, was smooth.” Before the bliss could register, the most popular girl at schools continues,”Nah just kidding!” bursting into giggles, “you ok?”

“Yea,” you reply with a quick nod. The girl of your dreams, talking to you, giggling away, like you’re her bestie.

“HEY GUYS! This is training time, take your dating elsewhere.” Coach yells.

You and Taeyeon both blush in embarrassment, something all your teammates point out, and you definitely hear the word “cute” among the whispers.

Tayeon goes to the toilet to wash up, while you settle for resting by the side while your teammates train. As your teammates walk by, Evan winks, whispering, “Smooth.”

Oh well, perhaps raw luck presents itself when you least expect it. Heck, accidentally kissing the girl of your dreams, hurts like hell but feels amazing as you ice your jaw, praying for no ugly swelling of your lips. But hey, worth it.
