Hi guys! I’m back in the States after spending a wonderful week in Finland. 🇫🇮 I had such a fantastic time I really hope I have the chance to return to this beautiful country one day! ... The original plan was to go visit a friend who had moved there from the States as well as check out the music scene plus some historical sites. I made some new friends (ironically a few were from the US also), got to experience some amazing native dishes (pyttipannu was absolutely delicious) and got to visit a phenomenal yarn shop @snurrelankakauppa. I got some souvenir yarn (Louhittaren Luola Vainamoinen in the ‘menninkainen’ colorway, which I learned means “gnome,” spoke to me) as well as a couple of buttons. I already cast on a #realmofthedead shawl by @countessablaze which I think would look stunning in this colorway. I’ll probably leave the buttons for another project but may add them to the shawl for a distinctive touch (and to make sure it stays on). ... The weather was fantastic and surprisingly warm with some sunlight still visible in the sky way past 10 PM.
