Chad and Tristan - Imagines (part 1?)
You are standing in the corner of the room, giving you a full of view of everything going on at the cocktail party. It is sparsely furnished but nicely decorated. Lit candles are on the coffee table. Jazz music plays in the background. You're about to mingle when you spot your favorite couple standing over at the heavy curtains by the window. You've known them now for about a year now and it has flourished into a beautiful friendship.
You approach them, and Chad smiles when he sees you.
'Hi, so nice to see you.' He says with a soft tone as he comes to give you a hug. He smells of vanilla and musk as he holds you gently. 'I was just telling Tristan that I sort of felt out place, not knowing anyone, so it's truly delightful to see a familiar face.'
'The feelings are mutual.' You respond as you make contact with Tristan who nods at you, then pulls you in for an embrace and an earthy cologne with notes of sandalwood billows around you.
'Chad's too stressed for his own good.' Tristan smirks at Chad as you part, then he looks back at you. The eyes are more intent than you remember them. 'Don't you agree?'
'Pay no attention to him.' Chad cuts in and stands closer to you. 'He's just grumpy cause he didn't want to go at all.'
'Stop revealing all my secrets.' He pokes a finger into Chad's waist and he jumps.
'Cut it out...' He giggles.
'You two.' You say with a chuckle, when Tristan puts an arm around your shoulder.
'So how you've been?'
'I've been good.' You respond, enjoying the savoury fragrance. 'How about you both?'
'We've been great. Right Chad?'
At first, Chad doesn't respond, and instead massages his nose with thumb and index finger.
'Chad?' The arm slips down from your shoulder as Tristan diverts the attentiveness onto Chad.
'Uh, pardon?' Chad sniffles then scrunches his nose.
'We're doing terrific, aren't we?'
'Y-yea...' His voice trembles as his eyes narrows. '...excuse me I just have to...' He steps back and brings a cupped hand over his mouth. The frown grows deeper as the nostrils flares widely at the scrunch up nose. '...eh'gnnzdsch!-g'sch!!!-gnkntsch!!!'
The stifles forces him to shake his head with each powerful sneeze.
Tristan's entire attention is now centered around Chad, waiting for him to finish. '...gorgeous, you okay? Bless you.' He says with a certain kind of tenderness.
'...thank you.' Chad sniffles wetly, then looks over at you in a shy manner. 'I'm sorry, something is bothering my nose. I'm not sick or anything.' He assures you.
'It's okay. That looked a little hurtful though.' You say with sympathy when you see his cheeks turning red.
'Sorry. Some particular sneezes can be uncomfortable...' He glances at Tristan and then adds '...sometimes.'
'You never told me that.' Tristan answers quickly.
'It's really not an issue for me.' He sniffles and Tristan looks as if he's about to respond when you acknowledge the signs of yet another imminent sneeze from Chad's helpless expression.
'...ugh, hhhh... sorry I'm... hhhhh... going to sneeze again.' He excuses himself, then turns away from both of you. 'Uh'k'tschew!!-eh'gNNisch!!! ...ESCH'GNxsh!!!!'schooo... ...oh my.'
'Aw gorgeous...'
You observe how Tristan caresses Chad's back, at the same time being receptive to the privacy that Chad needs.
'...hhhhh... uh'WASCHschew!!!' He snaps forward violently. '...ugh, goodness... I'm so loud, please forgive me.' His wrist rubs beneath the now pink nostrils as he turns to face you. Avoiding eye contact, he sniffles with a timid conduct.
'Uhm... I think I got...' You say, searching through your bag, happy to see you've left a package of kleenex inside. 'Here you go.' You hand it over to Chad who accepts it with gratefulness.
'Oh thank you so much.' He opens it carefully and pulls out several tissues. 'You sure though?'
He finally meets your eyes. They truly are a ocean of blue.
'Of course.' You shrug with a smile. 'I don't need them.'
'That's so very kind of you.' Chad continues to thank you as he wipes with the tissues over the sensitive nose.
'You're now his savior.' Tristan chuckles then kisses Chad's cheek.
'It's the truth.' Chad add deeper meaning to his words by raising his brows but you brush it off.
'Just glad I could be of help.'
'...eh'gnnk'tsch!!! ...ugh, why am I still sneezzhhh-...hhhhh... sch'gnx!!-Gihh'tscho!!-T'schue!!!' Chad stifles the sneezes harshly into the tissues.
'Bless you.' You say as Tristan just holds Chad closer.
'Thank you. I'm sorry, there is something in this room that is making my nose itch like crazy.'
'Can be anything really baby.' Tristan says with his hand moving from Chad's back to his waist. 'We should probably head out for a while.'
'...eh'Ksch'schew!!! eh'Gesch'schew!!! ...ugh I'm real sorry.' Chad meets your eyes for a moment, then looks down. 'Yea we should get some air.' He sniffles and wipes with the tissues at the red nose.
Tristan leans over and wraps one arm around you. The other arm connects to Chad. 'It was great seeing you. We must hang out soon, okay?'
'It was great seeing you too.' You reply, 'And aw, Chad.'
He's appears quite strained so you give him a warm hug and that he returns with fondness. 'Thank you for the tissues.' He says with a constant sniffle. 'I appreciate it.'
'You're so welcome. Get better, okay?'
'I will.' A gentle smile form over his lips as Tristan takes him by the hand and they leave the room.
