Harry being so afraid of crying in public is just so relatable... I don’t imagine the Dursleys ever provided him any comfort when he cried as a little child. in fact they might have punished him. I’m a 25 year old man and I grew up in an environment where if I cried I would be punished and even now it’s hard to cry even when I want to/need to

I’m so sorry. 😕💔 That’ll for sure have a huge impact on how your brain processes emotions and the need to cry later on in life, and I wouldn’t put it past the Dursleys at all to threaten or punish Harry for crying. Not being able to let it all out when you need to is...so frustrating, so I feel you 100%. I’ve never felt so ready to explode than when I couldn’t cry for a few years. It’s the worst.
