i need to drop the real questions here: what star sign do you think it fits reader in FB?
i think feb 19 is a pretty solid birthday for bruce, since it makes him a pisces + born right in the middle of the aquarius-pisces cusp (the cusp of sensitivity?! literally him)
but what about my girl reader!!! i can see her either as a scorpio or sagittarius (more scorpio i think). but i can't decide for sure. what do you think?
this is SUCH a good question and you are so right on it… i haven’t thought about signs for her before, but omg reader is absolutely a fire sign, no doubt about that!!! i’m 50/50 on Sagittarius or Aries, lemme think… this will probably be rambly as i’m thinking out loud lmaooo. i could totally see Scorpio too, that loving of poking at others and figuring them out but not wanting any of that directed to them lol… but then again, there’s this appreciation for the probing/poking bc reader has been so chronically devalued and her experiences ignored throughout her life that i think it leans away from that. i see the independence, fierceness, and intensity of a Scorpio, absoluteeely. but there’s different elements that pull me towards Sagittarius or fire signs in general, I think?? like those things are very present, but present in a way that feels more Sagittarius to me!
per fire signs, Leo doesn’t quite fit imo… i love the ambition and pioneering boldness of an Aries (quite literally hyper focused on doing something no one ever has and not relenting even when Bruce was like girl LEAVE), but i think the ‘natural leadership’ as it’s often described with Aries isn’t QUITE where reader is at; i think she’s too in her head to be the typical no-nonsense Aries. she’s less decisive, and has more ‘lingering’ mood states than an Aries, who can be ‘onto the next’ at times. i think what sells me on Sagittarius is the fact it’s a mutable sign, just like Bruce’s Pisces; i think that dynamic fits really well, particularly with how she’s quite literally chameleoning herself with Bruce at all times bc of the lie, and constantly considering all angles of everything. there’s a strong element of being a philosopher about things, and that fits reader sooo well to me. there’s also a big moral/ethical component to mutable signs; she’s focused on the morality/ethics of the lie, of the school, of bruce and what he does or doesn’t do for himself, for the city, as well as herself. and what is bruce if not rigidly moral and extremely focused on that!! bruce constantly chewing on the ethics and morality of his vigilantism and the city and his family and her and and and…
god, bruce is such a water sign… so compassionate and intuitive and empathic and sentimental and sensitive. my baby !! even though he can be stoic on the surface, there is So Much Emotion Happening beneath it. i also think reader embodies a lot of these qualities, and i could see it, but there’s just something about the edge of a fire sign that i know would just (and does) get under the skin of a water sign and force both of them to grow. i could also see Aquarius for reader, due to that loyalty, stubbornness, and dedication, but those, again, i think are present in such a specific way with Sagittarius that it just has to be that for reader.
Sagittarius’s desire for freedom and change, that mutable piece, that headstrong, leaning-towards-blunt nature paired with that philosopher element, it’s so reader 😭 needing to move to Gotham, feeling caged by Bruce’s attempts to keep her safe/look out for her, the constant holding of that ethical component and having a constant internal monologue. i also love that Pisces can be so patient, and Sagittariuses are QUITE LITERALLY known for impatience 💀 but there’s strong altruism w Sags and I think that shows up with Bruce once she gets to know him, and it can develop into patience in that environment, but it does NOT show up immediately lmaoo.
now i’m looking up things about the compatibility between Pisces and Sagittarius… i love that all these sites are saying they appear like an ‘unlikely pair’ bc i think that’s so true for their dynamic. they! might! not! have! happened! at! all! if there weren’t very specific, unique circumstances shoving them together and forcing them to grow and open up. not that they aren’t compatible!! but that there’s such a learning curve you have to get through before all the dust is cleared and it’s like wait… ur actually incredible and amazing and perfect for me. i love how the more outgoing nature of a Sag plays off of Pisces’ gentleness, because on first glance you could say it was the opposite w reader and Bruce! he’s batman!! likee! how is that gentle?? but 🤭 i also just adore the imagery of the ‘water’ sign dampening/flooding/drowning the ‘fire’ sign in an overwhelming way, or cooling them down in a supportive way, and the ‘fire’ sign literally boiling the ‘water’ sign and steaming them up; either to the point of anger/frustration, or renewed passion/energy/inspiration. that emotional dynamic is so present w them. ugh. love it. Sagittarius and Pisces it is!!!
