I’mma be honest here

Dressing up as Virgil Sanders is probably one of the most empowering things I’ve done in my life. Working on his jacket was incredibly fun and creative, and when I put on the makeup, slid the jacket on, and frowned in the mirror? I felt like I could take on anything.

And it’s so ironic because Virgil is the physical embodiment of something that makes me freeze where I sit, unable to move or think or function, but when I put on his raccoon makeup and play my music playlist based off of him filled with My Chemical Romance songs, I don’t care about what could happen! I don’t care what other people think! I just think that I’m living my life, I’m trying, and I’m doing good. If Virgil can go about his day with that snarky, strong attitude, I can work through my fears and live my life too!

Virgil’s character is empowering me so much right now, I feel confident enough to at Thomas Sanders himself! @thatsthat24 , you and Joan and Talyn and anyone else who works on the Sanders Sides have made such an amazing character! Thanks for writing the emo dork that is Virgil and giving me not only inspiration to work through my anxiety, but a super snazzy hoodie design!
