I am once again thinking about Yuri On Ice if it didn't have a default language and crying over the wasted potential

Yuuri's inner monologue & every conversation he has with his friends and family from Hasetsu are in japanese

But he speaks to Victor (and every other skater) in english

And as if he's not already shaken enough, he has to be the translator between Victor and his parents who want to speak to him but can barely speak english

All the skaters speak English to eachother (and all of them have accents, even the Asian ones, while we're at it)

Victor's inner monologue we get in barcelona and every convo that's between Russians is in Russian!

I mean Victor speaking to Yakov, Yurio speaking to Yakov, Lilia, Mila, his grandpa, all in Russian

Sometimes Yuuri will walk into Victor & Yurio speaking russian

Yurio will occasionally angrily rant to Yuuri in Russian and refuse to translate

Little jokes throughout the show of characters saying something that only makes sense in their language and everyone just staring at them

The inner monologues of the skaters all being in their native languages!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I feel better after talking to my friend (about my mental breakdowns), cried a bit more, and then I got dinner (because I realized I haven’t eaten all day and no water either), ate, and now I’m watching the pilot episode of 1899.

My thoughts about 1899:

1. Wow, I might relate to this doctor person with her crazy visions and her morning peptalk reminding herself who she is and that she’s not crazy.

2. Not 10 minutes in and I’ve heard French, Danish, Cantonese, Spanish, English.

3. Doctor person just did an external cephalic version.

3. Doctor person having a “I wanna just be like you when I grow up” moment with a Danish girl. Little girl, run far away from medical school.

4. German guy at the 20th minute.

(I’m still not done with the episode)

I cannot believe I just spent half an hour trying to figure out which language this word in my old notes was from, I went through every language Google could throw at me, I looked through every page of notes I have on similar sounding languages for thirty minutes and do you know what it was?!?!?!
