I’m sure this has been pointed out before but I swear this scene proves that Alice is a whole lot more than she seems.
When Alice approaches the grieving android, his LED has been spinning red the whole time. He looks at her, his LED is yellow -- and as Alice turns away, it’s blue.
At the same time, Kara spaces out -- enough that Luther asks if she’s OK. As if she’s being affected by ... something.
Later, in front of the fire, Kara asks Alice about it. “If I tell you, you won’t love me anymore.”
Alice knows what she is, and she believes that if Kara realizes it, she’ll lose Kara. What if Alice is purposefully blocking Kara’s memory? What if she can warp the minds of everyone around her into believing she’s human, or at least stop them from talking about it?
“The humans must not find her,” Ralph had said, in the same voice he uses when he’s in the RA9 trance.
“Your father said you chose my name. How did you choose it?” Kara had asked in the beginning, with no answer. The game notes indicate that the original Kara origin trailer is canon, which means Kara was her name before she met Alice. So how did Alice know?
“Have you ever noticed anything? About Alice?” What if Luther wasn’t talking about her being an android?
Something is UP with Alice, or this all feels like a whole lot of foreshadowing that was never paid off. Or maybe I just really love the superpower-kid trope.
