Don’t know if anyone has posted this transcript yet but it got me in tears.
What has had the biggest impact or been the biggest eye opener that you’ve had during your time on the show (Wynonna Earp)?
“I mean… I would naively say perhaps… how horribly lacking the representation was for queer characters. I didn’t realise how bad it was. Umm… so that was eye opening. But also, what I really love too is meeting fans who are older and didn’t have that representation at all growing up and how much that means. It’s like that is… I just feel like now there’s social media and youtube and there’s so much more access for young people to go out and seek their community. But I cannot imagine having to grow up where you just couldn’t find it. So, for me I just think it would be so hard [voice starts cracking] It really hurts my heart when I hear those stories because I just don’t think anyone should have to go through that. And it makes me angry, so umm… I’m really happy that we’re here today and I’m really sorry that some of you didn’t have that growing up because that’s really horrible.”
