its actually blue in the manga! when i draw amajiki, i use a kind of saturated dark blue. the anime seems to have darkened up his hair a bit to match with the black color of the inks.

(first image is done in copics, so its naturally more pale, second is done digitally for a manga page i believe, third is the anime concept art)

they also seem to have added some purple, so nice catch anon! im going to keep w his blue hair more if i do more amajiki colors.. as the nice saturated blue is a good contrast w his personality and gives a bit more contrast from sasuke comparisons lol

the one correct answer is not black, blue but not too purple

sorry all for the radio silence! i know this happens... quite often with me actually, but my work in college has kind of piled up on me, so i have fallen behind on answering asks, as well as posting.. anything really. (blame horikoshi for the relative lack of shinsou lol)

good news is i should be able to get back to working on some stuff here at the end of this week, as my last final is then. i’ll be on the internship hunt for a bit, but that shouldnt take up as much work as ive made for myself these past weeks. look forward to answers and maybe more posts then!

also, on a personal note, im planning on opening up art commissions at the end of this week as well! (life is money ;;) if any of you are interested, please take a look at this commission post from last summer and send me a pm or email! ill probably be changing the details on the post a bit, but thats about what you can expect.
