Just finished reading the blacksmith. Oh my heart! It hurts. But it was sooo good. I was wondering if when season 2 comes out you'll do a sequel like maybe she gets resurrected somehow. Also cannot stop thinking about when he says to her "You don't understand how significant it is that I'm in love with you." Like sauron is just astounded that someone could make him feel that way. I love that. It makes me think of like if sauron had a soul mate...how he would come to terms with that and his feelings especially after feeling nothing but darkness for so long. I think he'd at first be inconvenienced and then he'd be pissed and then he'd be absolutely obsessed and puppy dog eyes. And like everyone is just SHOCKED when he's on a rampage and this delicate little sweetheart just snaps at him to chill the f out and he does.

I did have an idea for a sequel a while ago, set in the third age where Sauron is the Necromancer and he brings her back from the dead (but only temporarily). But I haven’t set out to write it yet because of all the other ROP fic ideas that I keep writing AND I am trying to actually adapt The Blacksmith into a novel as well! 😁 but perhaps when season two is done I might find a way to make a sequel out of it? Who knows! 😜
Yeah I really wanted to lean into the idea that their love is what could have saved them from their darkness, and the fact that Sauron actually loving someone like this really is a big deal. So I’m really happy you appreciated that! Haha that’s so cute I could totally picture something like that! She’s the only one that can give him peace.
