"The real profundity of Forbidden Love is not its experiment in re-purposing classical instruments, but the pervasive presence of American cultural imagery: sewing machines, wood chopping, quilting, square dancing, clogging, and hints of folk melody. The new and experimental become the framework in which a culture is reminded of its far-gone roots, long before a young man named Cage would prepare his piano." — Seen and Heard International Performed by Sō Percussion: Adam Sliwinski - violin I Eric Cha-Beach - violin II Jason Treuting - viola Joshua Quillen - cello Recorded on August 15th, 2020 at the DiMenna Center for Classical Music, New York, NY Album Artwork and Printing by Matt Van Asselt Forbidden Love was co-commissioned by the Los Angeles Philharmonic Association, The John F.
