So I got this opportunity to do an art trade w/ @raygirlramblings ! Drew her character Magpie for my part! This little guy gives me big Rayman 1 vibes for some odd reason and honestly, wholesome 🥺🥺 Like gfdscfg look at this baby!!! Mwah ✨

Hope you like it, though! It may have taken a while since I went through a period of motivation-loss, but also style experiment, but I’d say I’m pretty proud of this piece 👀

Due to his size and imposing stature, most animals that are his size or smaller are naturally wary of Raphael. This is reflected in his low aptitude for Riding, but, at the same time, his gentle and friendly demeanor is often enough to win animals over, given time. This is best shown in his support conversations with Marianne, where he has no problems befriending some of the same birds that she befriended.

Especially small animals, like birds and cats, are also sometimes drawn to him because of his size. He makes a very good tree to perch in, or a gigantic warm bed to walk around on! If he were to lay down and take a nap outside... he’d probably wake up to a puddle of cats and/or birds on him. Once Raphael puts in the effort, he can win over nearly any animal, and can often be found playing with the dogs that roam Garreg Mach Monastery when he isn’t partaking in the dining hall or the training grounds.
