here’s the little dude!!!! just a plain ol eastern mole, i’m pretty sure. they’ve got tunnels all over the back end of our yard, and our dog pointed it out to us while we were walking earlier.

My cat: *yells at me to come outside and see her kittens*

Me: very good work!

My cat: *runs away*

Me: oh. Okay then. *goes inside*

My cat: *returns and yells again*

Me: what do you need, little lady?

My cat: *runs away again, but turns back to watch me and make sure I’m still near the kittens*

Me: ah I see. This is babysitting duty.

I finally opened my “build a miniature ferris wheel out of metal” thing I got for my birthday and it is. so much smaller than I anticipated.
