I've also been staring lovingly at @prismaticfangz 's art style for a while and wanted to try my hand since I adore the volumes and shapes of it. I love how huggable these guys look in this style, especially in the live action versions 🫶

Im quite proud of the linework as well, so i'll attach that below along with the excerpt this is based on. This oneshot fic is well worth a read, its so cute

“... Yes, it is,” Shadow agrees after a brief pause. “As the Ultimate Lifeform—” He places emphasis on that title of his, which, if Sonic’s being truthful, is oddly cute— Hold on, cute? “— My standards are too high for the likes of you.”

Sonic blinks once, twice, then gasps. “ Wooow! Okay, first of all: rude! Second of all: That's so not true! How could your standards be too high for me ? I'm the fastest being alive!”

“And yet you couldn't beat me in our race.”

“I'm a hero !”

“You’re insufferable.”

“I'm handsome!”

“And humble, apparently,” Shadow remarks dryly.

Sonic grins, choosing to ignore the obvious sarcasm so that he can focus on something far more important: “You didn't deny that I'm handsome.”

This time, Shadow definitely blushes. He balls his hands up into fists and stares stubbornly at the ground. Even though he’s frowning, he appears almost bashful ... Which is an expression Sonic hasn't seen on him before. For the second time today, the word cute comes to mind.
